A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE TURQUOISE-GROUND WALL VASES
18TH-19TH CENTURY

Each vase is decorated with a panel depicting a lady and a boy in a garden
scene, below a smaller panel to the neck enclosing foral sprays, reserved
on a turquoise ground with a pattern of raised dots. Each vase has a pair of
gilt-decorated animal-form handles, with the mouth rim and foot rims also
highlighted in gilt. The reverse of each vase is painted with a faux bois design.

A LARGE CANTONESE FAMILLE ROSE HEXAGONAL VASE
19TH CENTURY

The vase is applied with Buddhist lion and ball handles. The body and neck
are decorated with panels enclosing warriors and oficials, reserved on a foral
ground interspersed with fruit, birds and butterfies. The sides are decorated
with bats suspending coins.
