A SMALL ‘TOBACCO LEAF’ FIVE-PIECE GARNITURE
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The garniture comprises three baluster vases with covers and two beaker
vases, all decorated in the classic pattern in famille rose, underglaze blue
and gilt.

Each plate is decorated with a lady
catching cherries in her skirt as a
young man throws them from a ladder
above and a seated lady and dog look
on, below a rope-twist band in iron-red
on the rim.
