MARK IN IRON-RED WITHIN A DOUBLE
RECTANGLE AND OF THE PERIOD
(1821-1850)

The washer is formed as a pair of confronting iron-
red bats shaping the bowl with their spread-out
wings while their heads form the handles. The
interior and base are covered in a turquoise glaze.
