A LARGE PAIR OF CANTONESE FAMILLE ROSE
VASES
19TH CENTURY
Each vase is applied with Buddhist lion and cub handles and four
kui dragons on the shoulder. The body and neck of each vase is
decorated with panels enclosing warriors and oficials on foot
and horseback, reserved on a foral ground interspersed with
fruit and exotic birds. The foliate rims are decorated with a band
of fowers and pomegranate.

A YELLOW-GROUND FAMILLE ROSE VASE
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The vase is decorated and gilt with two fxed-ring mask handles to the
shoulder, the body with densely scrolling lotus, all on a bright yellow
ground. The base with an iron-red Jiaqing seal mark.
