A SILVER EXPORT STEM BOWL
MARK OF WANG HING, HONG KONG & CANTON, CIRCA 1900
The bowl is supported on four bamboo stems and is chased in relief with fgures
before pavilions surrounded by bamboo. One side is applied with a shield
containing the monogram ‘CS’ and the sides are applied with twin dragon handles.

From the collection of Clara Henriette Wilhelmine Schroeder, gifted to her upon her
wedding in Singapore, who then settled in Poggelow, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
in 1891 and Berlin in 1920.
It was later gifted to the current vendor’s family.

The fligree body and cover are applied with enamel birds and fowers and
turquoise and coral beads. It is marked SILVER under the base.

19TH-20TH CENTURY
The ovoid body is decorated to both sides in high relief with panels enclosing
birds perched on trees amongst fowers and pavilions. The cover is
surmounted by a prunus branch fnial.
