YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD
(1723-1735)
It is decorated with a daylily and aster with a butterfy hovering above. There is a seal reading
zhuju which may be translated as “bamboo dwelling” and an artemisia leaf, both in iron-red.

QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE
BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The bowl is decorated to the interior in underglaze blue and copper
red with a central roundel enclosing a lingzhi sprig, encircled by
lotus, peony and chrysanthemum scrolls, the exterior covered with
a celadon glaze.

UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE
PERIOD (1736-1795)
Each dish is moulded with rounded sides, the
centre painted in Ming style with simulated
‘heaping and piling’ with three gnarled
branches bearing three peaches each,
centring a single fnger citron, the reverse with
three single peaches.
