PROVENANCE
Collection of Mr du Gardin, French businessman who worked in
China in the 1930s-1940s. This series of four paintings were acquired
directly from the artist in 1994.
The artist wrote on the back of this current painting that he specially
painted this series of four paintings over three years upon Mr du
Gardin’s commission, dated end of Jiashu year (1994).
