the other on a pup, each on a rectangular pedestal decorated with raised

A CHINESE BRONZE ARCHAISTIC RITUAL VESSEL, FANGHU
MING DYNASTY OR EARLIER
The bulbous square-section body with a neck decorated with hunting scenes
and borders of geometric and zoomorphic patterns, with a pair of taotie mask
handles with loose rings, all supported on a flared foot, 36cm, 3.4kg.

A CHINESE BRASS ‘ZODIAC’ BRAZIER AND COVER
LATE QING DYNASTY
The compressed circular body tapering towards the foot, the shoulder
flanked by two butterflies in relief supporting a large loop handle, the
openwork cover decorated with two scaly dragons contesting a sacred jewel
above a band of medallions enclosing the twelve animals of the zodiac,
37cm dia, 7kg. (2)
