The central figure of Shakyamuni flanked by two bodhisattvas, each holding a
lotus bud, with an elaborate mandorla with a five-headed cobra shielding the
central figure, all surmounted by an animal mask, the figures slotting into a
base decorated with geometric patterns and raised on four zoomorphic legs,
22cm, 1.1kg. (5)

LATE QING DYNASTY
Carved in a dynamic pose with a kapala in her raised left hand and a driguk
knife in the right hand, adorned with a skull necklace and tiara and other
ornate jewellery, standing on bodies of defeated deities with a mandorla of
skulls and stylised flames behind her, raised on a lotus pedestal, the stand
and mandorla possibly associated, 16cm. (2)

Decorated with five Buddhist emblems, the central eternal knot surrounded
by two fish, a vase, a parasol and a conch shell, with inlaid coral, turquoise
and lapis lazuli beads, the lotus base possibly consecrated, the seal covered
with paper on which astrological calculations are written in Tibetan, 16.5cm,
171g.
