A CHINESE ZITAN ‘BAMBOO’ BRUSHPOT, BITONG
QING DYNASTY
Carved to one side with many leafy bamboo branches, the reverse with
calligraphy and signed Wang Shixiang, dated the second month of the renchen
year, carved with raised lips encircling the mouth and foot, all supported on
three short feet, with a circular plug to the base, 15.5cm.

The narrow cylindrical body carved in relief with a continuous landscape,
with figures fishing from boats on the river and houses dispersed through
the mountainous setting, 15.4cm.
