The bowl is well decorated around the exterior in delicate enamels 䲭ˣ湫ˣ曺ᶱ刚櫙慹䲳ˣ曺剙剙叱䲳⍲咖䲳咖䒋䲳炻㥳⚾䷩
and underglaze-blue tones to depict a leafy meander bearing six 墯炻㕥⼑晭渿炻⇍℟ᶨ㟤ˤ晵㬋㛅㬌ᶨ䲳梦⑩䧖炻昌⤪㛔㉵⑩
exotic blooms above a band of trefoils and frieze of lappets, the ᷳ櫍⼑⢾炻⯂㚱曺剙⎴⯢⮠䙴炻啷㕤⋿Ṕ⌂䈑昊炻⍫侫˪⭖⺟

A Japanese private collection, formed during the 1950s and 1960s
The leafy motif on this bowl is aromatic tumeric, an herb commonly
used in Chinese medicinal practices. It appears that this plant only
appears on Yongzheng-period Imperial porcelain, and is rendered in
various palettes including doucai and blue and white. Compare for
example to a Yongzheng-marked blue and white bowl bearing the
same decoration, in the collection of the Nanjing Museum, illustrated
in Treasures in the Royalty. The Official Kiln Porcelain of the Chinese
Qing Dynasty, Shanghai, 2003, p. 137 (fig. 1).
