supported on a high foot painted with a combed design; an example
with decoration of rabbits amidst waves, 14.5cm diameter; an
example with overglaze red details of ‘The Three Friends of Winter’
pattern, 15.2cm diameter; another with overglaze and gilt details of a
spotted deer, 16.6cm diameter; another depicting young pine trees,
20.2cm diameter, another with leaves and diaper panels highlighted
60 with overglaze red, Fukagawa mark, 21cm diameter; and an example
depicting fishing nets drying, 21.3cm diameter; together with a dish
depicting a carp in waves, 21.9cm diameter; two foliate rimmed
bowls, 15.5cm high; and a set of five shaped oval dishes painted with
landscapes.

Each of cylindrical form decorated with a samurai and his lady with
attendant holding a banner between brocade bands (one with old
restoration).

One by Tozan, Meiji era
Each decorated in enamels and gilt, the first with a continuous design
of pilgrims visiting Nikko Toshogu, the mausoleum of Tokugawa
Ieyasu, a five-storied pagoda towering in the background beneath
a band of densely clustered seasonal flowers, signed on the base
Satsuma, 31.5cm high, the second a trumpet-form vase painted with
tasselled Buddhist brocades, bronze Chinese mirrors and associated
items, signed on the base Tozan sei.
