TWO POTTERY FIGURES OF FEMALE POLO PLAYERS
Tang Dynasty
Each spirited horse modelled in full gallop with a female polo player
wearing a long close-fitting robe and raising her left hand and with the
rein in her right hand, her head with thickly knotted hair slightly lowered
to follow the course the ball, each face detailed with black, white and
pink pigments, both horses painted in red and decorated with red dots
on a white ground, stands.
35.9cm (14 1/8in) wide. (2).

二馬四蹄飛奔，口大張，其上各騎一女球手，球手高髻，左手揚起揮桿，
右手挽韁，頭部微微下視，緊追球跡，面部施粉色彩，細繪眉目，一女身
著藍袍，一女身披紅衫，二馬身棗紅，背部塗白彩，點紅花。

參考兩件唐代彩繪仕女馬球俑，2018年5月15日售於佳士得倫敦，拍品
編號37。
