The current stem cup was made in careful imitation of the much
admired Chenghua prototypes such as the example in the Palace
Museum, Beijing, illustrated in The Complete Collection of Treasures
of the Palace Museum, Blue and White Porcelain with Underglazed
Red (II), Hong Kong, p. 43, no. 40 (fig. 1); as well as the two examples
in the National Palace Museum, Taipei, see. Catalogue of the Special
Exhibition of Cheng-hua Porcelain Ware, Taipei, 2003, p.98, pls.78-
