pink lotus and vegetal motif which continues
on the underside of both the dishes and the
handle.

AN EXPORT FAMILLE ROSE BUTTERFLY
TEAPOT AND COVER
19TH CENTURY
The teapot and cover are enameled with
foral and spiraling forms, and each has
anthropomorphic eyes. The base is enameled
in iron-red with a four-character Daoguang
reign mark (possibly apocryphal). The metal
handle is wrapped in wicker.
