                                                                              roundels, the red lacquer visible underneath,
                                                                              applied with a pair of metal bracket handles
                                                                              and a large shaped lock-plate, fitted box.

                                                                              the Yongzheng and mid Qing era; see for

                                                                              Each set on a carved bracket-rimmed base
                                                                              with five ruyi feet, rising to a stepped and
                                                                              rounded stand supporting a baluster stem,
                                                                              with a broad dish rim supported on a waisted
                                                                              lotus-petal-panel neck, gilt overall with lotus
                                                                              blooms borne on scrolling foliate stems.
