A PALE GREEN AND RUSSET JADE CARVING OF A MELON
AND TREE-SHREW
18th century
The large pebble naturalistically carved as a ripe melon borne on
a gnarled branch and issuing leafy tendrils, a small tree-shrew
clambering up the side, the stone of pale green tone with
russet-brown patches.
