SIX-LOBED JARDINIÈRES
Qianlong/Jiaqing
Each deep vessel with vertically-ribbed lobed sides, the exterior
brightly painted and gilt with six medallions framed as angular
archaistic chilong enclosing a single Indian lotus flower in profile issuing
elaborate foliage, between a band of ruyi beneath the flat rim, the
spreading foot with a similar lotus and ruyi band scrolling motifs, the
underside white, the interior plain turquoise. 35cm (13 6/8in) wide. (2).

A PAIR OF LARGE PAINTED ENAMEL SQUARE PRICKET
CANDLESTICKS
Qianlong/Jiaqing
The flared bases rising to shallow drip-pans beneath baluster columns
rising to smaller drip-pans surmounted by gilt prickets, the four sides
of the body decorated with lotus scrolls entwined with abstract
confronted chilong, separated by stepped flanges, with similar designs
repeated on the columns and outer sides of the drip pans painted
in the interiors with interlaced and continuous designs of chilong
interlocked with acanthus leaves and ruyi, hongmu stands.
