a snowy reed, calligraphic inscription dated
cyclically to the Yihai year of the Daoguang
reign corresponding to 1839, signed Weng
Luo, with three seals of the artist, mounted,
29.5cm (11 5/8in) x 20cm (8in); the second
depicting a mountain landscape with water
in the style of Song dynasty artist Mi Fu, with
one seal of the artist, mounted, 30.5cm (12in)
x 29.5cm (11 1/2in); and a pair of paintings
depicting mountainous landscapes with water,
both with poetic inscriptions and seals of the
artist, mounted, 31cm (12 1/4in) x 24.2cm
(9 1/2in). (4).

One delicately painted in ink and pigment on
paper, depicting a man on a horse before a
lady seated in a two-wheeled cart, an elderly
attendant beside her with a fan, 55cm (21
5/8in) wide; one painted with ink on gold-
sprinkled paper depicting a scholar in a hut
beneath a craggy pine amidst rolling hills,
signed Yun Zhang, with seal of the artist,
53cm (21in) wide; and one painted with
pigment and ink on paper, depicting three
scholars on a bridge leading to a hut amidst
trees and hills, in the distance two fishermen
on a boat, signed Liu, two seals of the artist,
55cm (21 5/8in) wide; all framed and glazed.
