CHILONG’ RHYTON CUP
17th century
Expertly hollowed tapering from a wide mouth,
on flattened base deftly carved in the form of a
stylised dragon, with long horns, three smaller
chilong clambering up the cup, the stone of
even pale-green tone.

A GREEN AND RUSSET JADE ‘LOTUS-
LEAF’ CUP
17th century
Finely carved as a naturalistic furled lotus
leaf, vividly curling outwards at the irregularly-
shaped rim to form a deep vessel, decorated
in low relief with subtle veining around the
exterior, raised on an oval base shaped as
entwined branches issuing further leaves and
a lotus bud, the stone of olive-green tone with
russet highlights.
10.5cm (4 1/8in) long.
