           BRONZE TRIPOD INCENSE BURNER
           Ming Dynasty
           The baluster vase with a border around the
           shoulders enclosing taotie masks reserved
           on diaper grounds suspending cicada blades
           around the similarly-decorated body, the
           shoulders set with a pair of taotie-mask ring
           handles, the exterior with warm chestnut
           patina with green encrustation, 28.4cm
           (11 3/16in) high; the incense burner of
           compressed globular form rising on three tall
           flared elephant legs, the cylindrical neck cast
           with an archaistic band enclosing a taotie
           mask on a leiwen ground below the flared flat
           rim, the exterior with a warm brown patina,
           13.4cm (5 5/16in) high.(2).

           A VERY LARGE BRONZE YENYEN VASE
           Xuande six-character mark, 17th/18th century
           Heavily cast, the exterior entirely plain, the tall
           flaring neck set with two crescent handles
           above two horizontal ribs at the shoulder,
           the surface overall with an even pale glossy
           patination.
           65cm (25 1/2in) high.
