                                                                              The duck gracefully modelled with incised
                                                                              wing feather decoration before a smaller
                                                                              duckling, both recumbent on a lotus leaf finely
                                                                              detailed with naturalistic veins and curling
                                                                              stems, the stone of pale green tone with
                                                                              russet and cloudy inclusions, wood stand.

                                                                              17th century
                                                                              The mythical bird carved recumbent, the
                                                                              wings, tailed and tucked legs finely articulated
                                                                              in low detail with incised details, the head
                                                                              turned backwards, grasping in its beak a leafy
                                                                              branch bearing three ripe peaches and leaves,
                                                                              the body naturalistically swelling at the chest
                                                                              and tapering towards the tail, the stone of pale
                                                                              green colour with russet and brown inclusions.
