TWO OVERLAY GLASS SNUFF BOTTLES
1800-1880
The first a five-color overlay bottle of compressed pear
form, with a flat lip and oval foot ring, the overlay carved
one side with a vase and peony, reversed with a dog and
birds on bamboo; the second an olive-green glass overlay
bottle of flattened ovoid form, with a waisted neck and
thin flat lip, the olive-green overlay carved to form a piece
of tied brocade over the milky white ground.

TWO TURQUOISE GLASS SNUFF BOTTLES
1750-1850
The first of compressed ovoid form with a thin lip and
supported on an oval foot rim, carved to resemble
aquamarine with orchids, asters, begonias and lingzhi; the
second bottle of flattened pear shape, with a flat lip and oval
foot ring, the transparent glass suffused with large bubbles
and black streaks.
