A LACQUERED WOOD INSCRIBED SNUFF BOTTLE
1800-1860
Of rectangular form, gently tapering towards the base, each side
carved with a raised panel, one main panel incised with an image of a
garden rock, inscribed shou tong jin shi (longevity equal to bronze and
stone), the reverse inscribed with poetic couplet and a dedication to
Zhuoyun, signed Xiao Zifei.

A COCONUT SHELL SNUFF BOTTLE AND A MOTHER
OF PEARL SNUFF BOTTLE
19th century
The coconut shell bottle of circular form, seamed at the edge with
gently bulging sides, the body well-polished; the mother-of-pearl
bottle, of flattened form with a flat lip and concave foot, the body
carved with eighteen luohan in low relief.
