A SIX-COLOR OVERLAY TRANSPARENT GLASS ‘FRUIT
AND ANIMALS’ SNUFF BOTTLE
1850-1900
The flattened globular body rising to a tubular neck with a slightly
convex lip, on one side the black, red and green overlay carved to
form two lobed melons growing from a leafy vine, on the other side
the yellow and blue overlay carved to form a camel and bushy-tailed
canine beneath a cloudy sky, all supported on a purple foot ring.
