A WHITE JADE ‘ARCHAISTIC DRAGON’ SNUFF BOTTLE
1750-1800
Of flattened rectangular form, the sloping shoulders rising to a
tubular neck with a flat lip, each side carved in low relief with a pair of
confronted archaistic dragons, their scrolled bodies decorated with
bosses and C-scrolls, all supported on a neat oval foot ring, the even
white stone with a lustrous polish.
