Carved in the form of a melon with leaves, tendrils and two
small melons clinging to its sides, one side flattened to allow
the bottle to rest on its side.

A WHITE JADE ‘LOTUS BUD’ SNUFF BOTTLE
18th century
Carved in the form of a slightly flattened lotus bud with three
layers of overlapping petals, the mouth of the bottle at the tip
of the bud, the foot formed from the calyx, incised with the
remnants of the stalk, the white stone with some dark brown
veining.
