with a dragon in relief, the underside similarly decorated, all raised on a 2007, lot 1536. from the Victoria and Albert Museum, London (acc.
shaft carved with cloud scrolls and separated by a rounded midsection no.476.18-6). Similar hat stands were made in a variety of different
worked with raised scroll patterns, the circular base with raised scrolls, mediums including porcelain, cloisonné enamel, and lacquer. See
all supported by a jade inlaid circular hardwood stand. an example of similar form but in cinnabar from the British Museum,
13 3/4in (35cm) high, overall London (acc.no.1958,0729.41).
