amongst pine trees and rocky outcrops, with

A PALE AND RUSSET JADE CARVING OF
A HORSE
The recumbent horse well-modelled and
carved in the Ming style with its head turned
backwards over its left shoulder, the mane
and tail finely incised, all carved from a very
pale stone of almost whitish hue with russet
inclusions and traces of the original skin, all
polished to a soft tone.
