The lid finely veneered with two writhing five-clawed dragons, amongst 19th/20th century
cloud scrolls and above foaming waves and rockwork, with a central Comprising: three gourd cages, one decorated with a river landscape,
uncarved tablet, the box sides decorated with the Eight Buddhist the ‘Three Friends of Winter’ issuing from jagged rocks, bearing an
Emblems, base missing. 26cm (10 1/4in) wide (2). inscription, tall pierced openwork floral ivory cover; one of plain form,
with ivory neck mount and cover, pierced and carved with two figures
