A WHITE JADE HAIR
22 ORNAMENT
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The hair pin is carved to one side with
alternating stylised characters of fu and shou
roundels, (‘prosperity’ and ‘longevity’). One
end is carved with a floral form terminal. The
stone is of an even white tone with a pale
celadon tinge.

TWO WHITE JADE CARVINGS
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The first is a hair pin of slender arching
form, carved to one end with a dragon-head
terminal. The second is carved in the round as
a recumbent mythical animal, modelled with
bulging eyes, a snout-like nose and a single
horn. Both stones are of an even white tone
with some minor opaque and russet inclusions.

TWO WHITE JADE CARVINGS
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The first is plainly carved as a compressed
circular box and cover. The second is a snuff
bottle of slighlty tapering ovoid shape, carved
to the narrow sides with lion mask and fixed
ring handles.
