sinuous body with anklets, jewellery and flanked at the shoulders with
lotus flowers, the face crowned with a three-pointed tiara, all raised

Qing Dynasty
The figure seated in dhyanasana in loose robes, with the hands in
bhumisparsha mudra, the serene face topped with a high ushnisha
covered in ‘snail coil’ hair, raised on a lotus throne; together with a
Thai bronze figure of a seated Buddha, 19th century.

Nirmanakaya is one of the three forms of the Buddha, generally 9.5cm (3 3/4in) high
explained as the ‘physical manifestation’ of Buddha. In art, it is
distinct from the Sambhogakaya, or ‘body of divine enjoyment/form £500 - 800
body’ in that it represents the Buddha without adornments, where HK$5,100 - 8,200
the Sambhogakaya body is characterised by the major signs and CNY4,500 - 7,200
minor marks of a Buddha.
