the cylindrical neck rising from a bell-shaped body, the neck
painted in polychrome enamels with six red bats soaring amid
clouds between an upper keyfret border and a lower band of
ruyi heads, the body with six cranes roaming a continuous
landscape of pines and colorful plants, the base inscribed with
an apocryphal four-character Qianlong mark within a square

RETICULATED DISH
QING DYNASTY
brightly enameled to the interior with a male pheasant standing
on top of pierced rockwork, gazing towards its mate perching
under a magnolia tree, all surrounded by leafy branches of
lush peony, the rounded cavetto delicately pierced with foliate
scrollwork enclosing the ‘Eight Auspicious Emblems’ below
a painted band of lotus scrolls and a gilt rim, the base with an
apocryphal Qianlong seal mark in underglaze blue

amid an auspicious land of rocky outcrops, lingzhi, a pine tree,
and a pair of bats, the base with an apocryphal six-character
Yongzheng mark in underglaze blue within a double-ring (2)
