above formal lotus owerheads issuing forth scrolling vines                                                   each with a pierced standard centered with a band of chevrons
reserved on a pistachio-green ground, the splayed foot with a                                                 anked by scrolled leaves raised on a circular platform of
narrow green band with lotus scrolls, the turquoise enameled
base with an apocryphal iron-red six-character Daoguang seal                                                 lotus meander above the domed base, with lappets above a
mark within a white cartouche                                                                                leiwen band encircling the foot, the standard rising to a lotus

JIAQING SEAL MARK AND PERIOD

the gently aring sides divided into four lobes by undulating
chamfered corners rising from a tapering foot, the interior
enameled around the basin and walls with six female immortals
crossing a turbulent sea on mythical animals and log boats, the
central medallion with a pavilion held aloft by the cloud-breath
of a dragon- sh as a crane ies by, the reserve ground entirely
gilt, the exterior and base enameled turquoise, the base with a
six-character iron-red seal mark within a white cartouche
Diameter 9½ in., 24.1 cm
A dish of this type with a similar subject matter sold at
Christie’s New York, 16th September 2016, lot 1377. A related
bowl and cover employing the same decorative technique and
theme sold at Christie’s New York, 21st/22nd March 2013,
