A JIZHOU PHOSPHATIC-SPLASHED BLACK-GLAZED BOWL

SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279)

The bowl is potted with rounded sides rising to the finger-grooved rim, applied with a dark brown
glaze splashed with amber and milky pale blue strokes stopping short above the base and foot revealing
the beige biscuit body.
