C. Summary





                           A.   Cardinal numbers for telling the numbers, time and year.
                           B.  Expressions used to ask about the time:

                                  a) What time is it?
                                  b) Could you tell me the time?
                                  c) Do you know what time it is?
                           C. Expression used to tell the time:
                                  a) It is 05.30
                                  b) It is a half of five
                           D. In English we say “30 menit”= half, “15 menit” = a quarter, and “Tepat” =

                              O’clock.
                           E.   Ordinal numbers are used to show dates, show ranks or positions.
                           F. We could use this following expressiond to ask about date and month:

                                    a) What date is it?
                                    b) What date is it today?

                                    c) What month is it?
                           G. We could use this following expressions usen to tell about date and month:
                                    a) It is thirty-first December.

                                    b)  It is January.
                           H. There are two categories of days that are weekdays and weekends.

                              Weekdays: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
                               Weekends: Saturday, Sunday.
                           I.  We can use “when do we celebrate...?” to ask about the certain day.

                              Example: when do we celebrate Independence Day?

                           J. We can use “we celebrate...?” to tell about certain day.
                                Example:  we celebrate Independence Day on the seventeenth August.
