Wrong position of the fingers
Success criteria Take the bottle in the hand in the same way as described in the diagram.
Description The participant took the bottle in his/her hand without following (or being
able to follow) the instructions.
Explanation One participant chose to use the device with a hand position that he
considered as more adapted to him.
Position of the The bottle tip is between the index and the middle finger. The thumb is on

Description The participant had some difficulties to make the pressure and to apply
drops into the left eye.
Explanation The participant is right‐handed but used the device with the left hand.
Therefore, the participant considered the application was difficult with the
left hand.
