Prologue: Six People and a Challenge
In an old house inherited from Nayla’s grandfather, the six teenagers sat in a circle under the
dim glow of a dusty lamp. Dust swirled through the air from stacks of ancient books and a
weathered map Nayla had just discovered hidden inside a secret drawer.
“This isn’t just any map,” said Nayla, her eyes shining. “My grandpa once told me he almost
found a lost city. But… there was one riddle he could never solve.”
Tiara bit her lip, her curiosity peaking. “A lost city? Like Atlantis?”
“No. This one’s in our own land. Deep in Kalawan Forest. The City of Enigma—a place not
marked on any map, but mentioned in the ancient scripts of our ancestors,” Nayla explained,
unrolling the brownish, fragile map.
Adit, who had been looking uneasy, responded with a mocking tone. “If that city really exists,
why hasn’t anyone found it by now?”
“Because not everyone has the courage to look for it,” Farel cut in sharply, eyes fixed on
Adit. “And not everyone can be trusted to come along on this journey.”
Adit gave a cold smile. “We’ll see who can be trusted soon enough.”
Gilang scribbled down every word in his notebook. Raka was already tinkering with a
homemade GPS device. They all knew—this wasn’t just a game of adventure anymore. They
were about to face something big, something that could change their lives… or destroy them.
That day, a major decision was made: they would begin the journey the next morning.
But none of them knew that among them, there was a traitor.
And that betrayal… would be the beginning of everything.
