Step Two:
Open the second image in Photoshop, as well. We’re going to put a selection around this image, copy it into memory, and then we’re going to paste it on
top of the first image we opened. So, start by going under the Select menu and choosing All (or just press Command-A [PC: Ctrl-A]) to put a selection
around the entire image. Then, go under the Edit menu and choose Copy (as shown here, or just press Command-C [PC: Ctrl-C]).
Step Three:
Now, click on the first image (the one of the bride at the window) and press Command-V (PC: Ctrl-V) to Paste the image of the sheet music on top of our
bride image (it will appear on its own separate layer). Get the Move tool (V; it’s the first tool at the top of the Toolbar), and then click-and-drag this image
over to the right a bit (as shown here). The idea is to blend these images, so you see the sheet music on the far right, but as it gets closer to the bride, it
fades off into nothing. Right now, it’s not doing that at all. There’s no blend—it has a very obvious, solid, hard edge on the left. But, we’re going to fix that
shortly.
