PHIL HARRISON
CHIEF EXECUTIVE

With 41 years ’professional golf experience and 23 years of senior golf management,
Phil Harrison is supremely experienced and uniquely connected in the worlds of golf,
leisure and property development. He combines strong experience with sound
commercial sense and is a member of the PGA and the PGA European Tour and the 2016
winner of the prestigious PGA Toby Sunderland Award for his contribution to golf.

He became a golf professional in 1977, qualified with a PGA degree in 1980 and was one
of the youngest PGA club professionals in the UK at Barnard Castle Golf Club. During
this time he played European Tour and Worldwide Tournaments on a full time basis for
14 years, becoming a Regional PGA Captain In 1990.

Phil founded Scenic Golf, specialising in all aspects of golf course design and
management, developing two golf clubs from conception - the Eden Golf Club in Cumbria
and the exclusive Wynyard Golf Club and David Leadbetter Academy in the North East
for Sir John Hall in 1995, which went on to host the prestigious Seve Trophy competition.

In 1999 Phil became director of golf at Aldwark Manor in Yorkshire, where he secured
planning permission for a 60 bedroom hotel and spa extension, attracting The British
and International Greenkeeper's Association (BIGGA) where it established its national
headquarters. In 2004, he became a shareholder and the Managing Director of Wildwood
Golf & Country Club and spearheaded a team to gain planning permission for an 84
bedroom hotel with 39 lodges, PGA Southern Region headquarters and a Golf Academy
and range.

He is also advising Staysure in their sponsorship of the European tour.
