Canadian consolidation
Canada’s Cenovus Energy and Husky Energy have agreed to combine in the
latest major North American oil and gas deal.
LNG deal delayed
France’s Engie has reportedly delayed signing a $7bn contract to buy US
LNG from NextDecade following pressure from the French government.
Marcellus sale
EQT announced this week that it had agreed to buy Chevron’s assets in the
gas-rich Appalachian Basin for $735mn.
Ending curtailments
The provincial government of Alberta has announced that it will end
mandatory production curbs on oil earlier than previously scheduled.
