Refinery sales
News of two separate US refinery sales by Royal Dutch Shell emerged over
the past week, while there were also reports of a bid on a third refinery.
Stronger position
A US federal district court has ruled that the Dakota Access pipeline should
not be forced to shut down while a new environmental review is carried out.
Surprise merger
US shale players Cabot Oil & Gas and Cimarex Energy have announced a
merger of equals valued at roughly $7.4bn.
Net zero target
Canada’s Suncor Energy has unveiled a new target of net-zero greenhouse
gas emissions by 2050.
