Bid for dominance
US LNG producer Cheniere Energy has unveiled long-term plans to expand
its liquefaction capacity while also raising its financial guidance for 2022.
Heavy oil acquisition
Tamarack Valley Energy is buying Deltastream Energy for $1.07bn, making
it the largest producer in Alberta’s Clearwater heavy oil play.
Lease sale reinstated
The results of a federal lease sale that took place in the US Gulf of Mexico in
November 2021 have been reinstated, with leases awarded.
Output reduction
Canadian natural gas producers Tourmaline Oil and Kelt Exploration have
temporarily reduced their output amid a fall in Western Canadian gas prices.
