                                                       for percussion trio

                   hen approaching
                   the Tresonant Per-
        Wcussion Trio project, I
        firstly spend some time think-
ing on the instruments I could
write for and how the combi-
nation of some of them would
        sound. Whilst thinking on the
        instrumentation I would write
for, I realized that what I had
        in mind were textural sounds
        rather than elements such
        as melody, harmony, tempi
        or structure. In other words,
what I wanted to create was E.Glennie -| Playing Around The Office |

        something atmospheric.
Thus, I have chosen to write NOTE
for Thundersheet, Tam-tam I had written for Tam-
        and Vibraphone (with motors                                           tam and Vibraphone before;

lasting resonance, creating eo above was the one which

                                                                              soundscape I was trying to
                                                                              create with this composition.
               The piece had to be
        60 seconds long, I presumed,
        based on my intuition, that
        the soundscape I wanted to
        create would suit the occa-
sion. I was aware that the I was very aware of the
soundscape I wanted could sombre and ghostly sound of
