                                    Be Humble
           Scripture: 1 Peter: 5:6
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he
may lift you up in due time.

We all go through times of difficulty, whether it is with our
family, our financial status, our job, relationships with friends or
our own health. These times can try us to the point of
hopelessness at times. Then we feel that God is not with us or
           even paying attention to us.

When we reach the point of hopelessness, if we turn to God and
sincerely pray for his guidance and help, he will hear us and reach
out to provide what we need. He never fails us, even in our
           darkest hour.
One of those times for me was last year in the hospital, when I had
to stay for 12 days. My spirit was broken and I thought I would
never return to a normal life. But God listened to my prayers each
night and led people to me who gave me strength and hope and
the promise of being able to do God's work again.

           Prayer:
Dear God, hear our prayers, and our needs. Please give us the
strength to overcome all the adversity this world sends against us.
May we never lose sight of your wisdom and strength. Be our
guiding light in a world of darkness. Be our redeemer and give us
hope that all adversity can be overcome with faith in you. Amen

You Don’t Have to Be a Christian
                            to Celebrate Christmas

Did that title grab your attention? I saw it on Face Book, so it has
to be true! Well, of course, I don’t believe everything I read or
see, especially on social media. However, I was really taken
aback when somebody commented, “I’m an atheist and we still
