First, Let’s Look at the Secular, Worldly Perspective

GENERALLY. When psychology and social people speak of SPIRIT, it’s a

time when mind and soul come together and produce something more
               ‘inspired’ that is called SPIRIT.

As an example, perhaps you’re writing a poem and suddenly think of
lines you had never considered before. It’s a time of what is called

harmony or oneness or unity within your body. And it’s a time when
something outside your EIB (humorously this is our, ‘educated idiot

box’), and produced by often unexplainable forces.

It is said this can also occur in doing everyday tasks like washing dishes

or mowing the lawn. But it most often occurs when you’re focused a
specific object. This is called a spiritual influence.

HONORABLE LIVING. Another example is given in psychology that

involves doing something honorable for a greater cause, as opposed as
opposed to just living life for yourself. For instance, you find a wallet

full of cash and turn it over to someone you can trust. Or you are
charged too little on an invoice, and you are moved to correct it to

someone else’s favor, not your own. This is called a spiritual influence.

HELPING OTHERS. Another example is given about a person who is

offered an impressive job with a sizeable salary to go along with it. This
is a job like he never expected, and he’s staggered and humbled by the

offer. But there is another choice of a much lesser job and salary, but it
is one that benefits other people in a more substantial way. The person

takes this job instead because his ‘heart’ or ‘soul’ is influenced toward
               helping others.

An example is becoming a director for AA: Alcoholics Anonymous, or
working for the Salvation Army and raising money for noteworthy,
