Sizzlers Races 31 Convention

The 31st Annual Collectors Convention Sizzlers
Races were energetic. Several of the normal racers
were back plus a few new ones. We started with
the Kids Sizzlers 12 and under so the kids could
participate in other activities going on. We had
a good turnout and ran 2 heat races then the
final race with the 1st and 2nd from of each heat
race in the final race, which added even more
excitement. The racing was very close. Next was
Adult Long Battery. We ran 3 heat races with some
exciting moments. It’s always something when
Bob Ireland is racing. Exciting to watch as the cars
zipped around the track. Up next was the Sizzlers
Adult Short Battery. The race was exciting and
started out with a bang. We had 4 heat races with
the 1st place from each heat race in the final race.
We also ran a special race with kids and adults,
not going to give any detail so it will be a surprise
next time, but it was GREAT and a lot of fun. This
group made sure everyone who wanted to race
had a car to race. My hat is off to all of you guys.
You are great. If you have never watched the
Sizzlers races I would like to invite you to come
by and watch or even join us. The racing is great
and exciting and the people are even better. It
is amazing how fast these old cars can be and
these kids and adults love racing them. I would
like to thank everyone who helped and everyone
who races, it was great as always and good to see
everyone.
