Last Pirate King

Nathanial Gordon

On one of his many sea voyages Daedalus's vessel was boarded by the last Pirate
King, Captain Nathanial Gordon, along with his band of toothless pirates
suffering from a terrible bout of scurvy. The cunning Doctor made a bargain

with Captain Gordon; his life and that of his remaining crew would be spared if
he cured the Pirates. Daedalus made them this drink & the Pirates liked it so
very much… However they got so intoxicated that the doctor was able to steal

back his ship and precious cargo. The irate pirates chased the Doctor but due to
their drunkenness they ran aground and wrecked their vessel. News of this
reached the British Admiralty and Daedalus was offered a medal of honour and an
audience with the Queen. The Doctor refused in order to save his mother the

discomfort of pretending not to know him..
The Law eventually caught up with the Dread Captain Gordon in 1862 and he
was hung by the neck.
