The Doctor loves his aforementioned Highland bees and they are forever busy.
When not chasing off flocks of fairies they spend the rest of their days
gathering rich sacks of pollen to make a delicious honey that the Doctor harvests.
The Doctor as an experiment introduced a French Queen Bee to the hive, the
resulting bees were incredibly strong allowing them to have the richest pollen
sacks. The pollen hanging off the bee’s legs gave the appearance of wearing yellow
pantaloons.
Whilst making a draft of this new fancy drink it attracted the attention of
the sweet toothed highland bees and they are forever dropping the pollen over it
as a sign of their approval.
