Under the tutelage of Professor Donald Smyth of the Royal Botanical Society,
Daedalus inadvertently crosses the humble garden pea with oriental snow peas
creating the delicious sugar snap pea in the process.
The Professor was green with envy and took the discovery as his own, while
banishing Daedalus from the society. However, many members of the society
learnt the truth and would order this drink at their club house, raise their glass
and toast to Doctor Daedalus ‘Snapsmith’ Ink by clinking their glasses and snapping
their fingers in quick succession. Cheers!
